Overview
Accurate cost evaluation is essential to understanding the true scope of a property loss. TruBuild provides detailed cost analysis and comprehensive reporting for complex claims, delivering clear, well-supported findings that help clients evaluate damages, understand repair costs, and make informed decisions.
What's included
ROM Reporting
Early-stage evaluation of a loss to develop a Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) for anticipated repair costs and potential claim exposure. Using available site information, documented damages, known scope, and construction experience, we provide adjusters with a supportable cost range to assist with initial reserve placement and risk evaluation as the claim develops.Scope and Estimate Review
Independent review of individual or competing estimates to identify differences in scope, quantities, pricing, and repair methodology. Our goal is to help all parties reach agreement on the scope and cost of fair and reasonable repairs. TruBuild is well-versed in industry-standard estimating systems and methodologies, including Xactimate, Cotality, and CSI-based estimating, allowing us to evaluate estimates in the format and level of detail each project requires.Cost Analysis
Comprehensive evaluation of total project costs across multiple contracts, vendors, and claim-related documents. We review estimates, invoices, contracts, change orders, labor, materials, quantities, and other supporting cost information to develop a complete picture of the project and assess whether costs are reasonable, necessary, and supported by the documented scope of work.Time & Material Analysis
Detailed review of incurred time and material charges to verify that billed costs are accurate, supported, and appropriate for the work performed. We evaluate contractor labor rates and classifications, material costs, equipment charges, invoices, receipts, time records, and other supporting documentation. When applicable, we also review state-specific prevailing wage and union rate requirements to help validate labor costs and identify unsupported or inconsistent charges.Construction Scheduling
Development of detailed Gantt schedules that map the sequence, dependencies, and duration of restoration activities to establish a reasonable and supportable period of restoration.
Why it matters
Reliable cost analysis helps eliminate uncertainty, supports fair claim resolutions, and provides stakeholders with the documentation needed to make well-informed decisions. Clear reporting ensures everyone understands not just the numbers, but the reasoning behind them.
